Les nouveaux visages de la marque culte

Duisbourg, mars 2017.

High-volume machine with an anniversary design: GTS20-33
“One Purpose. One Brand. One Legacy. One Century.” This is the motto adopted by CLARK, the inventor of the forklift, for 2017. The GTS20-33 launched in 2016 highlights just what has made CLARK a cult brand in the global materials handling market: as always, CLARK has combined a premium standard configuration and powerful, fuel-efficient engines (diesel and LPG) with a robust design based on its own “Built to Last®” principle. The GTS20-33 with wet disc brakes as standard combined with a high-performance transmission comes with a nominal load capacity of 2.0 to 3.3 tonnes. The robust design ensures a high throughput rate and low total cost of ownership, even during heavy-duty use. The anniversary edition of the GTS20-33 has a striking appearance with black wheel rims, the centennial logo on the upright, the anniversary edition sticker on the chassis and the special seat model with a “1917” embossment and Eugene Clark insignia.

Wet disc brakes – separate transmission
The enclosed, oil-cooled wet disc brakes offer the operator maximum user-friendliness by reducing the pedal forces by 50 percent compared to conventional drum brakes. As a further benefit, the brake design and oil used are almost completely maintenance free. Compared to conventional drum brakes, there are therefore almost no maintenance costs. The split transmission decouples the combustion engine from the vehicle frame, vastly reducing the transmission of engine vibrations. This results in far less physical stress on the operator due to the transmission of structure-borne sounds and vibrations. With technical features like these, the machines offer a comfortable ride, prevent operator fatigue through the ergonomically designed operator compartment and promote far greater productivity.

Anniversary design for the GEN2 series: C20-35D/L
The special edition of the CLARK model C20-35D/L to mark the company’s anniversary offers all the advantages of the compact GEN2 series for use in production, warehousing, recycling and lorry loading. All forklifts in the series with an order entry date of 1 January to 31 December 2017 will be supplied as a special centennial edition. This is characterised by a premium look with a silver overhead guard and chassis, insignias on the overhead guard and upright, a special seat model, black wheel rims and the text “Anniversary Edition”.

Powerful drives in the GEN2 and GTS anniversary models
Three drive units are available for the anniversary models: both models are fitted with an MMC-PSI LPG engine (2.3 L) with an impressive 51.6 kW of power and a PSI fuel system for LPG use. Sixteen valves ensure plenty of torque. The map-controlled ignition electronically regulates the ignition time to use the available power to the maximum effect while maintaining low fuel consumption. With its powerful and environmentally friendly design, the Isuzu turbo diesel engine (2.1 L, 46 kW) with emissions class 3b is available for both models and recommended for applications involving steep gradients combined with continuous heavy nominal loads. The system uses a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) filter as standard for regulatory compliant exhaust emissions. The direct injection gives this engine a very high peak torque. For less intensive use, the GTS20-33 series also comes with the tried-and-tested Yanmar diesel engine (3.0 L, 34.2 kW) with emissions class 3a. All the engines use a continuously variable automatic CLARK powershift transmission.

Modular cabin range
In addition to the factory-fitted cabins, both the GTS20-33 and the C20-35 series can avail of CLARK’s modular cabin range. The cabins can be retrofitted and can therefore also be ordered for stock machines and units that are already in use. Various different versions of the cabins can be supplied depending on preferences and requirements: Level 1 (roof), Level 2 (roof + front), Level 3 (roof + front + rear) and Level 4 (full cabin). Further features such as PVC side sections, heating systems, internal cladding and lighting are also available on request.
