Clark S-Series is nominated for the IFOY Award 2019

Duisburg, 17 January 2019 - The finalists for this year's IFOY Award (International Intralogistics and Forklift Truck of the Year) have been selected.

Press releases:

Among them is Clark Europe with a forklift of the S-Series. The internal combustion engine counterbalanced truck S25 qualified for the finals in the "Counter Balanced Truck" category. The coveted trophies will be awarded on 26 April 2019 in the Hofburg in Vienna.

The S-Series consists of the S20-35 diesel and LPG forklifts with superelastic or pneumatic tyres and the S20C-32C LPG forklifts with cushion tyres. The trucks are available with load capacities from 2 to 3.5 tonnes and are the first choice wherever high handling performance and availability are decisive - such as in tough multi-shift applications in industry, trade and distribution.

In addition to proven system components, the Clark S-Series for the first time uses active safety systems and a new smart information system. In addition, the driver's workplace has been completely redesigned. Operators benefit from robust trucks in this series that guarantee reliable and safe operation even under the toughest operating conditions with low total cost of ownership (TCO). Drivers can look forward to significantly greater comfort, which ensures fatigue-free working throughout the entire shift. Clark's aim is to increase safety and efficiency when using forklifts and at the same time reduce material handling costs while maintaining a very good price-performance ratio. The truck nominated for the IFOY Award is the S25 gas forklift of the S-Series 20-35 with a load capacity of 2.5 tonnes.

The international IFOY Test Days are being held at the beginning of March in the exhibition grounds Hanover, the finalists - amongst them the Clark truck -  will be subjected to an IFOY audit. In the IFOY, Test experts measure the key figures of the finalists in a standardized procedure. In the IFOY Innovation Check renowned scientist assess the innovation value of the nominated products and solutions. This is carried out by specialists from the Dortmund Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (IML), the Chair for Technical Logistics at the University of Dresden, the Chair for Materials Handling, Material Flow and Logistics (fml) at the Technical University of Munich and the Chair for Machine Elements and Technical Logistics at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg.

At the IFOY Test Days, jurors from all over Europe, Australia, Brazil, Russia and the USA will test and inspect the nominated equipment. Among other things the innovation value, technology, design, ergonomics and handling, safety, marketability and customer benefit as well as economy and sustainability will be evaluated. The jury consists of 29 renowned journalists from leading logistics media in 19 countries.
